Summer Roads Report 
 
 

Major road construction is scheduled for the week of June 17, weather permitting. Use caution in work zones and obey traffic control signage and flaggers.


EUGENE

Green Acres Road (Norkenzie Road to Delta Highway): 
Major paving this week.  Watch for lane closures and flaggers directing equipment in and out of the work zone.  Expect congestion and delays.  Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

 

Goodpasture Island Road (Delta Ponds Bridge to Kingsley Road):  Major paving this week.  Watch for lane closures and flaggers directing equipment in and out of the work zone.  Expect congestion and delays.  Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

 

Jefferson Street from 1st to 8th:  Contractor will be adjusting manholes and performing general site clean-up.  Motorists may experience isolated lane closures on Jefferson.

 

Washington Street from 1st to 6th:  Contractor will be adjusting manholes and performing general site clean-up.  The northbound lane between 1st and 3rd on Washington will continue to be closed while the concrete lane cures. Motorists should expect lane closures on Washington Street.

24th Avenue (Jefferson to Chambers): On Wednesday June 20, 24th Avenue will be closed from Van Buren to Jefferson, including all streets crossing 24th.  Use alternate routes.  Road is anticipated to be reopened on July 6th.

 

Jefferson Street (19th to 24th  avenues):  Permanent striping scheduled to begin Monday, June 18.  Expect minor delays.

 

Jefferson Street (25th to 28th avenues ):   Permanent striping scheduled to begin Monday, June 18.  Expect minor delays.

Fern Ridge Path (from Chambers to Garfield streets):  Path will be closed for several weeks from west of Garfield to Chambers Street to excavate for retaining wall and path reconstruction.  Watch detour signs and the rapid flash beacon crossing island at 15th Avenue and Chambers. 

 


Road Maintenance, at various locations:

Monday:

·         39th from Willamette to Deertrail.  Short delays with no parking for Monday.

·         Morningside Street. Closed to all traffic; opening later in the day.

Tuesday:

·         34th from Hilyard to Ferry.  Very short delays and no parking

·         22nd from Lincoln to Lawrence.  Very short delays and no parking

·         W. Amazon from Fox Hollow to Snell.  Flagging and short delays.

·         Van St. from Luella Street and across the east side of Bailey Lane. Full street closure, then possible short delays with flaggers.  Work to be completed on Wednesday.

Wednesday:

·         W. Amazon from Fox Hollow to Snell. Flagging and short delays.

Thursday and Friday:

·         Roosevelt from 99 to Maple.  Lane closures and flagging with short delays.

·         Leigh St. from Firwood Way to Harlow Rd.  Full street closure, then possible short delays with flaggers


SPRINGFIELD


Jasper Road: 
Road closed from Clearwater Lane (Mile Post 0.304) to Mount Vernon Road (Mile Post 1.407) through August 31 for construction of city of Springfield sanitary sewer main.  East bound traffic detour Hwy 126 (Main Street) to Bob Straub Parkway.  West bound traffic detour 126 (Main Street) to So. 42nd street.  Motorists should expect trucks entering and exiting the construction site.


LANE COUNTY


Gowdyville Road
:  Road closed at Territorial Hwy intersection (Mile Post 0.00 to 0.05) through 6:00am, June 18, due to ODOT bridge replacement project.   Detour use Cottage Grove – Lorane Road and Territorial Highway.

 

Dillard Road, between N. Hideaway Hills & Dillard Loop (Mile Post 1.8):  Delays of 15 minutes should be expected due to road maintenance.  Watch for flaggers or portable traffic lights. Seek alternate routes. 

 

McBeth Road, between Koinonia and Fire Station (Mile Post 3.2):  Expect long delays Monday, June 18 as culvert replacement begins.  Work will continue for the week  Seek alternate routes.
