For the Week of May 25, 2014

Major road construction is scheduled for the week of May 25, weather permitting. Use caution in work zones and obey traffic control signage and flaggers. Links to additional project information can be found at www.keepusmoving.info.

CITY OF EUGENE:

1
st Avenue W. (at Van Buren St. and Washington St.): Contractors will be constructing new storm water structures at these intersections in the roadway. Expect lane closures, construction equipment and workers in the roadway, slow traffic and brief delays.

th Avenue W. (Bertelsen Rd. to Commerce St.): West 13th Avenue will be closed to all traffic at Commerce Street for paving until Friday. Local traffic should approach businesses from Bertelsen Road.

th Avenue W. (Polk St. to Washington St.): Contractor is reconstructing the south side of the street from Polk Street to Van Buren Street. Expect lane and parking closures on the south side of the street. Expect workers and construction equipment in the street.

Coburg Road (at W. 3
rd Ave.): Contractors will be constructing new storm mains during the mid-morning hours on Tuesday. Expect lane closures, construction equipment and workers in the roadway, slow traffic and brief delays.

Goodpasture Loop Road:
Very minor work remains. There should be no impacts to the traveling public.

Olive Street (between 12
th Avenue and 13th Avenue):Street and sidewalks are closed due to apartment building construction. More information can be found at www.eugene-or.gov/CapstoneClosures

Roosevelt Boulevard (Terry St. to Danebo Ave.):
Contractor will begin moving equipment to the site and is expected to begin reconstruction of sidewalk ramps in the north side of the street. Expect lane restrictions, workers and equipment in the roadway, and slow traffic.

Willamette Street (11
th to 13th avenues): Willamette Street remains closed to northbound traffic between 11th and 13th avenues to allow construction of a new pedestrian and bicycle crossing on Willamette at 12th Alley. Only one lane will be open for southbound traffic.

West Eugene EmX Project:
During nighttime hours 7 p.m.to 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday, portions of traffic lanes may be restricted on West 6th and West 7th Avenues, Charnelton Street, and Garfield Street as crews relocate water services outside the West Eugene EmX project footprint and explore the root zones of selected trees.

LANE COUNTY:

Glenwood Boulevard and E. 17
th Avenue, Springfield: Glenwood Boulevard will remain open to two way traffic with work proceeding along the road shoulders and sidewalk. East 17th Avenue will be closed to through traffic from Glenwood Boulevard to Henderson Avenue. It will be open to local traffic only. Traffic will be controlled with the use of flaggers, as necessary. Expect minimal delays.

Layng Road, Cottage Grove (at milepost 0.20 from Mosby Creek Road):
Mosby Creek covered bridge is closed until September 15 for the rehabilitation project. Traffic should use Row River Road or Mosby Creek Road.

Nelson Mountain Road, Deadwood (at Nelson Mountain Covered Bridge):
The Nelson Mountain covered bridge will remain open to traffic during the re-roofing project. Exercise care when traveling through the work area.

Paschelke Road, Marcola (Mile Post 0.04 to Mile Post 0.10):
The Earnest covered bridge is closed until June 24 for scaffolding installation and painting. Traffic should use Wendling Road to access Paschelke Road during the closure
