For the Week of July 6, 2015

Major road construction is scheduled for the week of July 6, weather permitting. Use caution in work zones and obey traffic control signage and flaggers. Links to additional project information can be found at www.keepusmoving.info.

CITY OF EUGENE:

 

W. 39th Avenue & Brae Burn Drive: Excavation work for sidewalk ramp replacement continues.  Watch for signs, cones, possible flaggers, and minor delays.


E. 40
th Avenue (Hilyard St. to Donald St.):  Excavation work will begin for sidewalk ramp replacements. Watch for signs, cones, possible flaggers, and minor delays.

 

Andersen Lane (Hatton Ave. to Horn Ln.): Possible day time road closure to through traffic for underground pipe construction.

 

Briana Lane (Andersen Ln. to Manzana St.): Possible day time road closure to through traffic for underground pipe construction.

 

City View Street (W. 28th Ave. to W. 29th Ave.): Construction will conclude this week. Watch for construction traffic and expect minor delays.

 

Division Avenue (River Rd. to Randy Pape Beltline): Nightly lane closures will be in place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. as the contractor adjusts manholes and stripes the new pavement. During the day, the contractor will be constructing road approaches from Lone Oak Street to Beaver Street.
 

Donald Street (E. 32nd Ave. to E. 40th Ave.):  Excavation work will begin for sidewalk ramp replacements. Watch for signs, cones, possible flaggers, and minor delays.

 

Parnell Drive (Hatton Ave. to Betty Ln.): Possible day time road closure to through traffic for underground pipe construction.

 

Spencer Butte Summit Trail (at S. Willamette St.):  Construction on summit trail is expected to continue through the end of July. Work will require occasional partial or complete closures of the butte and adjacent section of Ridgeline Trail. Partial trail closures will continue Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Next full closure presently scheduled for Thursday, July 9, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., depending on weather and other conditions. LANE TRANSIT DISTRICT:

All businesses remain accessible during construction. The public can e-mail weemx@ltd.org to request traffic advisory e-mails regarding the West Eugene EmX project.

 

W. 6th Avenue (Charnelton St. to Madison St.; Blair Blvd. to Almaden St.): One lane is restricted between Charnelton and Madison Streets, and between Blair Boulevard and Almaden Street. An additional lane is restricted between Blair Boulevard and Almaden Street from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

W. 7th Avenue (Tyler St. to Washington St.): One lane is restricted during the day and two lanes are restricted at night.

 

Almaden Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue. Businesses and property are accessible via nearby cross streets and West 7th Avenue.

 

Blair Boulevard (W. 6th Ave. to W. 7th Ave.): Northbound lane is expected to be closed for utility work.

 

Garfield Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue.  Businesses and property are accessible via nearby cross streets and West 7th Avenue.

 

Monroe Street (W. 6th Ave. to W. 7th Ave.): Northbound lane is expected to be closed for utility work.

 

Polk Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue.  Businesses and property are accessible via nearby cross streets and West 7th Avenue.

 

Tyler Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue.  Businesses and property are accessible via nearby cross streets and West 7th Avenue.


SPRINGFIELD:

Franklin Boulevard (East of I-5 bridge to Glenwood Blvd.): Construction of a pedestrian path and street lighting is expected to continue through summer. Expect a one-lane closure at various times.

 

S. Franklin Boulevard/McVay Hwy. (from the intersection with Franklin Blvd. to I-5): Installation of a new sewer pipe continues; expect delays. South Franklin Boulevard/McVay Highway is closed to through traffic. Construction is expected to continue through late September. Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained and allowed by using the designated detours.


LANE COUNTY:

Ferguson Road (at milepost 9.85): Closed from Monday at 7:00 a.m. through Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. After the road is re-opened, traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary.

 

Marcola Road (Milepost 14-16): Construction will continue weekdays. Traffic is reduced to one lane during working hours and controlled by flaggers. Traffic will be switched to single lane detour alignment, controlled by signals. Expect minimal delays.

 

Maxwell Road (River Rd. to Prairie Rd.): Construction will continue weekdays.  Traffic will be merged into the center lane, as necessary. Expect minimal delays.

 

Row River Road (Milepost 4.0 and 5.4):  Construction will continue Monday through Thursday. Traffic will be directed onto a detour route with reduced speed and will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary. Expect minimal delays.
