Road Report 
 
 
For the Week of September 28, 2015

Major road construction is scheduled for the week of September 28, weather permitting. Use caution in work zones and obey traffic control signage and flaggers. Links to additional project information can be found at www.keepusmoving.info.

CITY OF EUGENE:

E. 15th Avenue (Orchard St. to Fairmount Blvd.): Excavation and concrete panel replacement will cause closures on Tuesday and Wednesday, with lane restrictions on other days. Please use alternate routes and expect delays of up to 10 minutes on lane restriction days. 

E. 15th Avenue (Agate St. to Orchard St.): Small crews will clean the site and finalize landscaping throughout the week. No delays expected.

 

E. 17th Avenue (Agate St. to Fairmount Blvd.): Excavation and pouring of new ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) ramps at intersections will cause lane closures throughout the week. Expect flaggers and delays of up to 10 minutes. Use alternate routes, if possible.


E. 40th Avenue (Hilyard St. to Donald St.):
Work nears completion with general site cleanup. 
 

W. 18th Avenue (Josh St. to Bertelsen Rd.): Contractor will be paving W. 18th Avenue Wednesday through Friday. Expect lane shifts and delays during the work. Watch for flaggers and equipment in the roadway.

   

W. 19th Avenue (at Chambers St.): Contractor will be placing pavement markings on the new pavement. Watch for flaggers and equipment in the roadway.

 

W. 22nd Avenue (Polk St. to Friendly St.): Contractor will be placing pavement markings on the new pavement.  Watch for lane shifts with flaggers and equipment in the roadway. Parking lane closures are possible.


W. 39
th Avenue & Brae Burn Drive:  Work nears completion with general site cleanup.


Alder Street (S. of 30th Ave):
Street will be closed Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and Wednesday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as crews cut and repair asphalt. Closure includes entrance to Haggen Food. 


Cascade Drive:
 Contractor will be adjusting manholes and doing project cleanup work. Watch for workers and equipment in roadway.
 

Division Avenue (near Lone Oak Ave.): Storm pipe cleaning will cause a single westbound lane closure.

Donald Street (E. 32th Ave. to E. 40th Ave.): Work nears completion with general site cleanup.

 

Elizabeth Street (Royal Ave. to Knoop Ave.): Contractor will be adjusting manholes and doing project cleanup work. Watch for workers and equipment in roadway.

 
Friendly Street (W. 24th Ave. to W. 28th Ave.): Contractor will be adjusting utilities to the new pavement surface and replacing pavement markings. Watch for lane shifts with flaggers and equipment in the roadway. Parking lane closures are possible.

 

Juhl Street: Contractor will be adjusting manholes and doing project cleanup work. Watch for workers and equipment in roadway.

 

Knoop Avenue (Elizabeth St. to Echo Hollow Rd.): Contractor will be adjusting manholes and doing project cleanup work. Watch for workers and equipment in roadway.

S. Bertelsen Road (W. 18th Ave. and south to county maintenance line): Street maintenance overlay work will occur Wednesday and Thursday and cause minimal traffic delays. Flaggers will direct traffic for the two-day project.


LANE TRANSIT DISTRICT WEST EUGENE EmX PROJECT:

 

All businesses remain accessible during construction. The public can email weemx@ltd.org to request traffic advisory emails regarding the West Eugene EmX project.


I-105 Ramp (at W. 6
th Ave.): The off-ramp from I-105 to West 6th Avenue is restricted to one lane from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

W. 6th Avenue (Washington St. to Madison St.): Traffic is reduced to a single lane to support traffic flow from the I-105 off-ramp.


W. 6
th Avenue (Charnelton St. to Garfield St.): Traffic is restricted to a single lane for roadwork.

 

W. 6th Avenue (Madison St. to Adams St.): Up to two lanes may be restricted for asphalt paving at night from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

W. 6th Avenue (Taylor St. to Garfield St.): Up to two lanes may be restricted for road construction at night from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

 

W. 7th Avenue (Blair Blvd. to Washington St.): Traffic is restricted to one lane.

 

W. 7th Avenue (at Polk St.): One lane may be restricted.
 

W. 11th Avenue (Bertelsen Rd. to Amazon Creek bridge): One eastbound lane is closed for bridge work.  


W. 11
th Avenue (Bertelsen Rd. to Randy Pape Beltway): One eastbound and one westbound lane will be closed at night, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., for utility work.

 

Adams Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue.  Businesses and property will be accessible via nearby cross streets.

 

Blair Boulevard (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue at night from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Businesses and property will be accessible via nearby cross streets.


Fillmore Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Street may be closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue. Businesses and property will be accessible via nearby cross streets.

Madison Street (at W. 6th Ave.): Closed on both sides of West 6th Avenue to support traffic flow from the I-105 off-ramp.


Monroe Street (at W. 6th Ave.):
 Closed on the south side of West 6th Avenue.  Businesses and property are accessible via nearby cross streets.




CITY OF SPRINGFIELD:

 

Gateway Street (Kruse Way to Harlow Road): Construction of the new asphalt pavement and sidewalk curb ramps is complete. Installation of pedestrian crossing push buttons, audible countdown signals, striping and signs will continue through September. Expect one-lane closures in each direction from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday nights.

 

 

LANE COUNTY:

 

High Prairie Road (1st Ave. to Milepost 2.6): Construction will be conducted Monday through Friday. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Expect minimal delays.


Irving Road (Hwy. 99 and NW Expressway):
 Minor construction activities are scheduled for this week. Expect minimal delays.

Marcola Road (Milepost 14-16): Construction continues weekdays. Traffic is routed to a single-lane detour alignment controlled by signals. Expect minimal delays.
 

Old Mill Road (at Office Covered Bridge): Road and bridge will be closed through October 31 for a bridge rehabilitation project. Detour to the Portal via Winfrey Road to Sunset Avenue, then through the old mill site.


River Road (Lucky Ln. to Wedgewood Dr.):
 Minor construction activities are scheduled for this week. Expect minimal delays.


Row River Road (Milepost 4.0 and 5.4):
 Electrical construction will continue Monday through Thursday at both locations. The trail closure has been removed and the trail is open for use. Bicycle and vehicle traffic will be controlled by flaggers, as necessary. Expect minimal delays.


Wallace Creek Road (Jasper Rd. to the end of County maintenance):
   Construction will be conducted Monday through Friday. Traffic will be merged into a single, one direction, as necessary. Lanes in the other direction will remain open.  Expect minimal delays.


Wolf Creek Road (Milepost 7.05):
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers when work is being performed during the day and routed onto a two-lane bypass road at all other times. Expect minimal delays.
