Hours and Days of Service Changes at Assessment and Taxation

Lane County Assessment and Taxation Office Customer Service Changes

Effective Monday, June 18, 2012, Lane County’s Assessment and Taxation office will have new days and hours of operation for the main phone line, customer service counters and tax payment windows.  The new hours will be Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The office will now be open during the lunch hour four days a week.  The main phone line and counters will be closed on Fridays.

According to Lane County Assessor, Anette Spickard, “With the loss of 20% of our staff this month due to county budget reductions, we have restructured our hours to be available to serve the public to the best of our ability with the remaining employees.  We were previously open 25 hours a week and now we will be open 20 hours a week. My goal was to balance the reduction in hours with the added convenience to the public of staying open during the lunch hour Monday through Thursday. There will be intermittent times throughout the year when we will be open on Fridays due to tax payment and filing deadlines.”

The most commonly requested assessor data is available electronically to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.lanecounty.org/at .  The site provides tax statements, tax maps, individual property account information, and general information on the property tax system.  Customers without access to computers can access this data from the research computers in the assessor's lobby Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm.
