AMNESTY PROGRAM - "CLEAN SLATE"

If you have cases that were originally from 1998-2003 at any of the three Lane County Justice Courts, there is a short term Amnesty program available that may help you clear up your old fines and clear your license suspensions so that your driver license can be reinstated.

The program runs from February 20, 2009 through July 31, 2009.

All accounts that have been transferred to the Collections agency, Professional Credit Services, can be paid off and the interest will be waived if you are able to make a one-time, one-lump payment within the scheduled timeframe.

This may relieve you of many hundreds and thousands of dollars that have accrued to your account, and allow you to start over with a "clean slate."

Your license suspension will then be lifted, and you may contact the DMV to see about getting your license reinstated.  The DMV does have a $75 reinstatement fee.

If you believe you are eligible for the program, please contact Professional Credit Services, located at 400 International Way in Springfield OR.  The toll free number for long distance calls is 800-972-1635, or locally 541-343-5641.

If the amount you owe the court is more than $5,000 please contact the specific Lane County Justice Court at open arraignment and speak to the Judge about your individual accounts.  The Judge may be able to offer you a negotiated amount.

If you have cases that fall within that timeframe, and you are making payments at the court, please contact the individual court to see whether a negotiated amount is possible.
