This division administers the Law Library in accordance with Oregon statutes. The Library provides legal reference materials and assistance to patrons.  It serves attorneys, judges,  litigants, and the general public. The Law Library is self-supporting from monies collected by the courts as part of civil litigation filing fees. These fees may only be used in support of Law Library operations. 

Mission Statement:  The Lane County Law Library is dedicated to providing a high-level of service to all members of the community.  As part of this mission, the Law Library strives to provide access to legal materials and related resources needed for legal research by members of the bar, the judiciary and the public.. 

Vision Statement:  The Law Library will be recognized within Lane County as a major contributor to programs providing access to and use of legal resources.

The Law Library is now open again, after a brief closure  in January for some work on our facility.   We are observing our regular hours again, which are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.     However, our document delivery and e-reference services are still in effect (see below under SERVICES).  Please call 541-682-4113 if you have any questions about these options.
